wow, i'm so happy i have time off. i've been meaning to go back and do more smoke photography that i started with my friend http://thepixelpuncher.deviantart.com/ a long while ago. and since school is over (at least one A-, w00t!) i have plenty of time. so...i went to Joann Fabrics, bought some black felt and a light blocking material (that's literally what it was called), safety-pinned 'em together and hung it up in the basement. then burned some incense, used a light (with a d-i-y barn-door) and also used the on-board flash with a remote...and took over 300 pics :) <3 and that was the result!

I think I've narrowed down (for now) what I want to focus on (no pun intended)! I really enjoy macro photography of nature and I just bought this book to give me some ideas and inspiration. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?EAN=9780811733496&x=46162804 so I'm also looking for a decent macro-lens for my Pentax K100D. any suggestions or places to search would be most welcome! And school is done for the semester, thank god. The moment I printed out my (24pg) final, I grabbed my camera and shot my recent batch.

I've been soo busy the last few months! I haven't even picked up my camera since January.. I even still have pics from New Years that I have to look at and work on. But I've been super busy with school work.. who knew grad school would take up your whole time? But I made some time a few weeks ago to go see my friend http://thepixelpuncher.deviantart.com/ and we went to Ithaca to photograph at the Taughannick Falls State Park! And an awesome day it was. So I uploaded some pics I shot and I really hope to get out there more this summer and then show you guys what Philadelphia has to offer! cheers!
